A Little Personal Life Update - Six Months of Healing, Horses & Happy Memories

I completely missed the 1st of July.

Not because I was busy celebrating... but because, quite honestly, I was just off my game.

And I think that's okay.

So, happy last six months of 2026. 🤍

Halfway through the year already? It feels impossible.

When I look back, I realise this first half of the year wasn't about huge business milestones or perfectly curated moments. It was about healing, growing, and slowly finding my way back to myself.

January
We started the year adjusting to new school routines. If I'm being honest, I was still carrying so much of what 2025 had thrown at me. I was functioning, but I was still finding my feet after one of the hardest years of my life.

February 🐴
My little girl competed in her very first SANESA horse riding competition. Watching her ride into that arena with so much courage made my heart swell in ways I can't even describe. Those are the moments you wish you could bottle forever.

March 🍰
Then came... the cheesecake incident. 😅 As ridiculous as it sounds, it became the catalyst for one of the biggest lifestyle changes I've ever made. Sometimes the smallest moments become the turning points we never see coming.

April ✈️🏰
April was pure magic. Three generations of Gangai girls—my mum, my sister, my daughter and myself—travelled to Asia together, where we experienced Disney through my daughter's eyes. Watching the wonder, excitement and joy on her face is a memory we will treasure forever. Also getting to spend time with my mom in this season of her life is without a doubt a blessing.

May ❤️
May marked one year since my car accident. I had expected the anniversary to be difficult, but instead it brought something I didn't know I needed: closure. It felt like I had finally made peace with everything that 2025 had taken from me. For the first time in a long time, I felt like I could truly breathe again.

June ☕️🐎
June was beautifully chaotic. School holidays to organise, work to keep moving, and quietly preparing behind the scenes for what is always our busiest festive season.

But June also gave me something I never expected.

After 15 years, I climbed back into the saddle.

I started horse riding again—not because I had planned to, but because I realised it's something only my daughter and I can truly share together. It has become our thing.

It also feels so symbolic of this new season of my life. Choosing to move my body. Choosing better health. Spending more time outdoors. Connecting with nature and these incredible animals. Slowing down enough to be present. It's been healing in ways I never imagined.

Looking back now, I realise this year hasn't been about racing ahead.

It's been about healing.

About celebrating my daughter.

About choosing my health.

About making memories with the people I love most.

About rediscovering parts of myself I thought I'd left behind.

And about finally allowing myself to let go of a season that had weighed so heavily on my heart.

Somehow, all of those little moments have added up to something really beautiful.

Here's to the next six months. May they bring growth, good health, unforgettable memories, and many more moments that remind us just how beautiful ordinary life can be.

Thank you for being here and following along this journey with me. 🤍
